Welcome to Pacific Raceways for the fifth race of the year. This race was sponsored by Federal Way Automotive and Radiator. A great turnout was on hand. There were 25 cars on the property, and 19 paid the fee to garner points and money from the association. After two rounds of qualifying, Diane Petitt grabbed the #1 spot with a stellar 10.904. Snap On tools provided the #1 Qualifier Award.
Todd Sims, Bill Gee, Allen Macham, Bruce White, Dustin Martin, Dustin Ward, Dave Wakefield, Diane Petitt, Gary Ermish, Jeff Jackson, Jess Dale, John Ermish, Kevin Jellum, Mark Loftus, Matt Kielman, Steve Beggerly, Jim Mabry, Nikki Cannon, and Michelle Reynolds were present.
Round one started with Petitt getting the bye. Martin holeshot Gee, Jackson prevailed when Emil red lite, Dale beat a slowing Loftus, Reynolds forced Wakefield to break out, Beggerly won against Jellum’s red lite, Mayer beat J Ermish in a double breakout, Ward won against G Ermish, Mabry was closer than Craig on a double break out, White used a good lite for force Sims to break out, Kielman beat Cannon, and Macham got a single when Buckholz was a no show.
In round two, White won when Jackson turned on the red eye, Martin used a hole shot to beat Macham, Ward beat Petitt, Beggerly knocked out Dale on another double break out, Reynolds was just a little closer and got by Kielman, and Mabry had the bye.
The quarter finals got underway with Beggerly getting the bye. Then the two Dustin’s paired up. Ward was .007 good on the tree and Martin was .007 bad (red light). White took out Mayer with a hole shot and then closer, 10.870 to 10.840. Reynolds got to the semi’s when Mabry slowed.
Semi final time. Ward with a .004 to beat Beggerly. Then White with a .008 to beat Reynolds.
Only two left. Ward and White. Ward had a better lite, then ran closer on a double break out – 10.883 to 10.870. Great racing by everybody.
